A Massachusetts resident died after contracting Legionnaires' disease at a New Hampshire resort.
New Hampshire health officials have confirmed a second case in Rhode Island.
Both people were guests at Mountain View Grand Resort in Whitefield.
The New Hampshire Department of Health officials said both residents who stayed at the resort had no connection.
The resort is currently being investigated.
Legionnaires' disease is caused by Legionella bacteria, which can contaminate water systems.
According to officials, people can get sick by inhaling water from showers, hot tubs or faucets.
Symptoms of Legionnaire's disease include fever, cough, shortness of breath, muscle aches, headaches and pneumonia
